鸡仔饼的由来
相传，鸡仔饼已有一百多年历史，其时，在广州河南（即现在的海珠区）王家祠附近，有一名叫小凤的婢女，在主人家只能吃残羹剩饭。为了温饱，当有多出的剩菜饭时，她便会全部收集起来，加入一些面粉，梅菜汁，熬干后压成餅块。然后交给在成珠餅家当点心师傅的叔父代为烘干，以备充饥之用。后来此餅送人品尝时，大受赞赏，并名之为“小风餅”。从此，小凤餅名声远扬，而成珠餅家也大发横财。因“小凤”在广州俗称“鸡仔”，于是，小凤餅便改名为鸡仔饼，也是广州有名的特产。
后来“鸡仔饼”流传到马来西亚霹雳州美罗，再经过多次改良之后，薄皮鸡仔饼除了原有的白芝麻外，再添加了黑芝麻，薄皮香脆可口，唇齿留香的口感更胜原来的那一款。樂記香脆可口的鸡仔饼也从此成为了霹雳州十大手信之一。
